A. We offer a flat international shipping service cost of $4,650 (Plus airfare. Deceased airfare cost is based on weight in kilos and there is no mark-up or commission on this transportation expense.) Our Casper International funeral shipping services include removal of the deceased from the place of death, acquisition and completion of all documents required by the receiving country, coordination of airline flights, a sealer metal casket, a TSA-approved shipping container, delivery to a local international airport, supervision onto the deceased’s international flight, and communication with the receiving country funeral provider.

Q. How long should it take for a deceased to arrive in their foreign country and be buried?
A. Everything is contingent on the receiving country Office of the Consulate General. Each country has a specific set of rules and regulations that must be complied with in order for the deceased international shipping service to take place. No funeral shipping takes place without Consulate approval. From the time of death, with all requirements having been completed, it typically takes five to seven business days to complete an international funeral shipment.
Q. Can I pre-arrange funeral shipping/repatriation services?
A. Yes you can. If you’d like to take some of the burden from your family we can help you pre-plan your international funeral shipping arrangements. The flat-fee of $4,650 will be locked in and the airfare would be calculated at the time of shipping. (Deceased airfare cost is based on weight in kilos and there is no mark-up or commission on this transportation expense.)
Q. Who coordinates all of the flights and other details?
A. We complete consulate compliance requirements and coordinate all airline travel. The cost for airline travel is exactly what the airline charges. There are no expenses or commissions added to the airline travel expense.
Q. What do I need to do if the deceased is at the Medical Examiner’s, Nursing Home or a Hospital ?
A. The first step is to call Casper Funeral & Cremation Services at 800-314-1890. We first need to determine the next of kin. We must receive a signed release from this individual. Another person may handle all of the arrangements but we must have the immediate next of kin sign a document authorizing that person to act on their behalf. Once we receive the necessary biographical information on the deceased, our team is ready to begin assisting your family.
